While conceding that Scpoe International, presently has offices in in Malaysia, China and Chennai, they company did not put numbers to the potential employment opportunity in the Bangalore office.
Briefing reporters here, StanChart’s Chief Operating Officer, India and South Asia, Sreeram Iyer said that the foreign lending major also plans to hire around 2,000 employees in India by the end of the current financial year. Standard Charted, he said, currently employs around 8,000 employees across the country, while employing over 7,000 employees in its Chennai unit alone.
