State Bank of Mysore has tied-up with State Bank of India for retail sale of gold coins through its branches.
Launching the facility, SBI Managing Director R Sridharan said the bank will handle retail sale of gold coins to start with and extend gold deposit scheme in the near future.
Coins of 999.99 purity with “ASSAY” certificationwill be sold at competitive rates in tamper proof packaging and denominations of 2,4,5,8,10, 20 and 50 gms in select SBM branches.
The price will be based on day-to-day price determined by market trends in international and domestic markets. Purchasers can ascertain the same on SBM website on daily basis.
