The price of the 14.2-kg subsidised cooking gas (LPG) cylinder was hiked by Rs 2.08 per bottle and that of non-subsidised cylinder by Rs 42.50 per bottle from March 1, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said.

The subsidised LPG cylinder will cost Rs 495.61 in Delhi from Friday as against Rs 493.53 at present. The non-subsidised ones will cost Rs 701.50 per 14.2 kg cylinder.

The hike, which came after three months of reduction in prices, was necessitated by tax impact on increased market rate of the fuel, IOC said in a statement.
