TAPMI rolls out centre for e-governance

Inaugurating the new centre  Karnataka government e-governance Principal Secretary M N Vidyashankar said that the new centre will provide support to government departments and functionaries by developing appropriate frame works for e-governance projects. 

Earlier, in April 2009 TAPMI launched a residential programme called e-Governance programme for executives (e-GPX) for developing management and leadership skills in e-Governance domain. The course is a structured as 11 month programme and the fee is around Rs 5.25 lakh.

The course covers specialised topics like re-engineering and transformation, public private partnership, e-procurement, advanced IT architectural and implementation decisions. TAPMI officials said that the first batch of candidates are already selected for internship with major companies like Wipro Consulting, IBM, KPMG and the second batch is to be started in the first quarter of 2010.
