Propelled by a 110cc engine, the bike delivers a four-stroke performance with 8.1 Bhp at 7500 rpm and comes with a torque of 8.1 nm at 5500 rpm.
Equipped with TVS’ ‘Tmatic’ auto-clutch technology, for which the company has filed for patent, the bike provides for hands-free gear shift, anti-stall mechanism and any gear start. It comes in three colours –– blue, black and red.
Briefing reporters, General Manager-Sales J S Srinivasan said “we hope that Jive will be accepted well by the customers.” Claiming that the bike can deliver a mileage of 55-60 kms per litre, the company said the bike has been designed with lockable under seat storage facility.
Further, Vice-President-Sales R Dilip said TVS aims to achieve 10 per cent market share in the premium segment, where the bike is positioned, by selling about 20,000 units pan-India per month.
Following hike in excise duty in the Union Budget Srinivasan said TVS has revised its prices upwards by 2 per cent across segments.
