Weak euro to hit revenue, says TCS

Briefing reporters, Chief Executive N Chandrasekaran said “The UK market and weak Euro will impact revenue. But, there will be no direct impact on business from euro zone debt crisis.” Further, he said “TCS will continue with its current business strategy for the European market. We think efficiency and right investments made in technology will propel growth.” Asked about opportunity in cloud computing segment, Chandrasekaran said “Creating a right business model for cloud platform is the important step towards cloud.

TCS has already made three bets for cloud business in the banking, small and medium business and BPO segments and he added pilot projects are going on.   Quizzed about strategies for inorganic growth, he said, we are looking for opportunity for acquisition in Europe especially in Germany and France, valuation is not the problem, finding the right asset is the constrain. On India market he said “we see India as a huge opportunity.”
