Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, a leading Bengaluru-headquartered FMCG major, entered the hair oil category with the launch of Chandrika Ayurvedic Hair Oil in Kerala market.

Chandrika is synonymous with Ayurvedic soap and has a history of more than 75 years. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the company stated that Chandrika Ayurvedic Hair Oil comes with a unique formulation of 15 potent Ayurvedic herbs.

"It will help in reducing hair fall and stronger hair coupled with enhanced fragrance and provides nourishment for hair. It is available in 95 ml and 300 ml units and priced at Rs 75 and 210 respectively," states the company.

Chandrika Ayurvedic Hair Oil is made through an ancient authentic Ayurvedic Kaachiya Enna process where the Ayurvedic herbs are slow cooked in pure coconut oil to extract the maximum goodness from each herb. T

The Hair Oil contains ingredients such as amla, hibiscus, bhringaraja, aloe vera, vetiver, neeli, fenugreek, rosemary oil, curry leaves, brahmi, heena, haritaki, jatamansi, manjishta, nirgundi, which are processed in coconut oil.

Commenting on the launch, Wipro Consumer Care Chief Executive Officer Anil Chugh said with this launch, Wipro Consumer Care enters the hair oil segment.

"For several decades now, Chandrika is a trusted Ayurveda soap brand. It is also one of the few handmade soap brands in the country, today. We have packed the goodness of Ayurveda and kaachiya enna process in Chandrika Ayurvedic Hair Oil," he said.
