After a century of progress in women's rights and constant hustling, many women have managed to break the shackles and earn a living for themselves, some while even following their dreams.

A recent survey conducted by Groww, an investment platform, tried to understand the investing habits of Indian working women and found an interesting trend related to cryptocurrencies.

Covering 28,000 respondents, the survey found that about 6 per cent of women making more than Rs 30 lakh per annum had invested in cryptocurrencies. In contrast, only 4 per cent of women earning less than Rs 10 lakh per annum considered cryptocurrencies as an investment avenue.

Another trend observed was that of an increase in the number of asset classes in investment portfolios as the level of income increases.

Real estate was also one of the spaces that saw higher investment by women making more than Rs 30 lakh per annum but the report also highlights that the behaviour was in line with the expectations going by the nature of investment required for the sector.
