Powering Modular Excellence: A New Chapter Begins as GreenLiving Partners with FFSC to Skill the Future Workforce.
Hyderabad, India, May 21, 2025: GreenLiving, a rapidly growing modular manufacturer based in Hyderabad, partnered with the Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC) in a milestone collaboration to reshape India’s interiors and furniture sector. The partnership, established through a Memorandum of Understanding on May 2, 2025, represents a significant step toward enhancing certified skills, driving sustainable innovation, and accelerating project execution throughout the industry.
The Vision Behind the Partnership
The Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC) is a not-for-profit organisation established by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and financially supported by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Since 2015, FFSC has worked to build a robust, efficient, and industry-aligned skill ecosystem for India’s furniture, interiors, and allied industries.
FFSC aims to create aspirational career pathways while fostering a skilled workforce by developing occupational standards, training and infrastructure building, and certification systems. By FY 2025–26, FFSC aims to upskill 500,000 aspirants, connecting them to internships, jobs, apprenticeships, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
This shared vision aligns perfectly with GreenLiving’s expertise in technical innovation, sustainable practices, and next-gen manufacturing. This public-private partnership is poised to transform the sector by nurturing talent, enhancing employability, and embedding green practices throughout the value chain.
“Partnering with GreenLiving strengthens our partnership, and our shared commitment to skill development will empower the workforce across the sector. We’re glad to collaborate through our training hub at the National Skill Training Institute, Hyderabad. Thank you to the GreenLiving management for marking this important milestone.”
- Mr. Prashanth P, Regional Head, FFSC (Andhra Pradesh & Telangana)
Strategic Areas of Collaboration
The GreenLiving–FFSC partnership spans several key focus areas to elevate skill standards, workforce readiness, and operational excellence.
• Developing Standards and Skill Mapping: FFSC conducts detailed skill gap studies and develops occupational maps to identify critical roles across the interiors and furniture value chain. GreenLiving will support FFSC in developing, validating, and aligning these standards with real-world industry needs, ensuring that training programs remain relevant and future-ready.
• Training Infrastructure and Capacity Building: Both organisations will collaborate to establish and enhance skill development centres for hands-on training in various industry roles. GreenLiving will provide subject matter experts, infrastructure, and support for developing training modules. It will also assist in training and certifying trainers and assessors to ensure the delivery of high-quality skills.
• Training Program Implementation: GreenLiving will align its internal training programs with FFSC’s National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) compliant qualification packs. The partnership will facilitate the execution of customised training programs, both funded and non-funded, with a focus on assessment and certification, preparing a pool of job-ready professionals for the industry.
• Career Management and Apprenticeship Facilitation: The partnership will leverage Skill Management Information Systems (SMIS) to aggregate data from skill gap studies, training programs, and demand forecasts. GreenLiving will use this data to create apprenticeship opportunities and actively participate in recruitment drives, ensuring a steady flow of skilled talent to meet industry demands.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Skill Recognition: GreenLiving will actively participate in FFSC’s flagship programs, such as the Skill Ambassador Program, WorldSkills competitions, and “Rozgar Melas” (Job Fairs). Additionally, the collaboration will focus on recognising prior learning to certify semi-skilled and skilled workers, enhancing their career prospects, and formalising their contributions to the industry.
Manasa Vallabhaneni, Managing Director of GreenLiving, expressed her vision for the partnership:
