While working in London, Vikas Brahmavar often walked along the river Thames and wondered why Bengaluru's lakes weren't as clean.

Over time, he decided to return home to work with water and the city.

A firm believer in India’s rich natural resources, Vikas soon realised that the dependence on fresh water sources was leading to water scarcity. Cities were being developed based on water inflow, with little consideration for the outflow.

The fate of treated and untreated water flowing into drains got Vikas thinking:

What if treated STP water could be processed to meet drinking water standards?

Driven by the belief that Indian cities can become water-abundant, Vikas and Gowthaman deployed innovative technology to create potable water from wastewater.
