Ahead of poll results, Naidu meets Mamata Naidu meets Mamata for post-poll alliance talks

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu met his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee at the latter's residence in Kolkata on Monday.

According to TMC sources, the meeting between the two leaders was being held to decide the future course of action of the united opposition after the Lok Sabha election results are declared on May 23.

However, Naidu and Mamata didn't speak to the media after the 45-minute long meeting.

According to sources, they discussed how to ensure that the anti-BJP powers stay united after results are out.

“They also discussed what the common minimum program will be if the Opposition alliance comes to power,” TMC sources said.

During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed what agendas will be prioritised in the common minimum program and a draft list of such agendas prepared.

“They also prepared a draft list of agendas which will be given priority in the common minimum program,” sources said.

Sources further revealed that both Naidu and Mamata will hold several meetings with other Mahagathbandhan leaders after the Lok Sabha elections results are declared.

Earlier, Naidu held meetings with several Opposition leaders such as CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury and NCP chief Sharad Pawar.
