Political observers and people across the country have their eyes set on Bihar as the counting for the most talked about and strongly contested elections this year is underway. For people wondering where to find and track accurate updates on the leads, wins and defeats, the official portal managed by the Election Commission of India (ECI) is the destination you are looking for.
Here is a step-by-step guide to check Bihar assembly election results on the ECI website:
Visit the official portal of the ECI - results.eci.gov.in
On the day of counting - November 14 - you will directly land on the election results page.
Here, you will find a party-wise breakdown of results, as well as constituency wise results, party vote share and so on.
The results shown in the portal is updated after the counting of each round is done and the returning officer uploads Form 20 at the counting centre.
While media outlets are also putting out the results and are slightly more faster than the numbers that show up on ECI website, the latter is considered to be the most accurate and official source for election results.
