As the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections was coming to a close, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), put out a message on X, nudging those who haven’t cast their votes, to rush to the polling booths. But the message came with a subtle political messaging.
“The remaining voters should go right now and stand in line at their respective booths, and no matter how late it gets, they shouldn't budge an inch without casting their vote! This time, we must get that government job!,” read the post by RJD.
The post was referring to one of the poll promises made by the party and its CM candidate Tejaswhi Yadav. They said that at least one member from every household will get a government job if Mahagathbandhan is voted to power. "We will ensure that every household will have a person with government job after our government comes to power. We will make a new Act for it within 20 days of forming government and in 20 months, not a single house will be without a government job,” Tejaswhi Yadav had earlier said while releasing their election manifesto.
Tejashwi had said that the NDA could not provide jobs to the youth in 20 years and that if voted to power, his government will make a new act within 20 days to ensure that within 20 months, each household will have at least one member with a government job.
