New Delhi: The BJP has said that after the release of the voter list, the demand raised by Rahul Gandhi and Tejaswi Yadav against the Election Commission has fizzled out. The BJP said that Gandhi’s demands have “zero appeal” since no one has opposed the list.
Party spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari, in a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Delhi, said the issue has not managed to win the confidence of either the RJD or of the Bihar Congress unit.
“The Supreme Court and the Madras High Court had earlier dismissed a PIL stating that Rahul Gandhi’s allegations were false and baseless, and now even the booth-level agents of the RJD and Congress in Bihar are saying the same,” Bhandari said.
Bhandari questioned Gandhi’s intent. “When Rahul Gandhi knew that his entire propaganda was false, what kind of pressure or power was driving him? Was it some foreign remote control under whose influence Rahul Gandhi was accusing the poor people of Bihar of vote theft,” he asked.
He also said that the NDA will have a clear majority in Bihar. “Now, there is no need for any exit poll. The mood of Bihar is clear with the NDA’s development agenda under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The BJP stands firmly with the people of Bihar, while Rahul Gandhi stands with the infiltrators,” he alleged.
