With this, BJP has announced candidates for 58 seats, leaving names for 12 seats. Some of the remaining seats may go to allies like JD(U). The last date of nominations is January 17.

Khurana has been fielded from Moti Nagar, while Mishra has replaced sitting MLA Mohan Singh Bisht in Karawal Nagar. The BJP has announced candidates for all seven sitting seats and it has dropped two MLAs, including Gandhi Nagar's Anil Vajpayee.

Five more women candidates find space in the list of candidates, taking the total to seven as of now. BJP has fielded its senior leader Karnail Singh against AAP's former minister Satyendar Jain in Shakur Basti.

BJP has named Neelam Pehelwan as its candidate in Najafgarh where Kailash Gahlot, a former AAP MLA who joined BJP, has been elected twice. Gahlot has shifted to Bijwasan.

The first list, released on January 4, included the names of Parvesh Verma, Ramesh Bidhuri and Arvinder Singh Lovely among others. Former Congress leader Neeraj Basoya, who joined BJP along with Lovely during the Lok Sabha elections, has been fielded from Kasturba Nagar.
