CM Atishi on Monday alleged that Manish Bidhuri, a nephew of Ramesh Bidhuri has been violating the MCC ahead of the elections and demanded police action against him.

"Violating the code of conduct, Manish Bidhuri ji - who is Ramesh Bidhuri ji's nephew - is roaming around in Kalkaji despite not being a voter there. I hope the administration will take action," she posted on X.

Replying to her post, the official X account of DCP South East Delhi wrote, "In this matter, taking cognizance of the complaint against Mr. Manish Bidhuri & Ravi Dayama for violation of MCC, legal case u/s 126 RP Act has been registered against them in PS Govindpuri."

In a seperate post on X, Atishi also alleged that the Delhi police are indulging in 'hooliganism' and accused them of 'brutally beating up a local boy for making a video'.

"The police have not yet taken any action against the people of Tughlakabad village. But the police brutally beat up a local boy who was making a video and took him away. Now the person who made the video is being beaten inside the police station. Police's hooliganism is now out in the open," she posted on X.

DCP South East Delhi responded to her post by saying that they have also booked a case for MCC violation against the Chief Minister.

"On 4/2/25 at 12:30 am, AAP candidate from Kalkaji (AC-51) with 50-70 people & 10 vehicles was found at Fateh Singh Marg. Police instructed them to vacate due to MCC.On complaint by FST, a case u/s 223 BNS & 126 RP Act is regtd at PS Govindpuri," the post said.

Delhi Assembly Election 2025 | The first of two state assembly polls this year sees a three-way contest between AAP, Congress, and BJP in the nation's capital. AAP decided to contest the polls alone, causing rumours of a rift in I.N.D.I.A. BJP, meanwhile, is hoping the liquor excise policy scam and pollution in Delhi will give the saffron party an edge over AAP. Kejriwal, on the other hand, has different plans with his demand for reservations for Delhi Jats. Congress will also be looking to make its presence felt and has not held back from attacking its own alliance partner.
