New Delhi: Hitting back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said the BJP was seeking votes for Delhi Assembly elections by abusing him but one should know that the inauguration of two projects by him showed that his party-led government dispels the notion that they only fight.
He said the projects inaugurated by the Prime Minister were joint ventures of the Delhi government and union government and it reflected the AAP's commitment to the capital's development. He asked the Prime Minister to speak on fulfilling the unkept promises made by the BJP in 2020.
"The Prime Minister spoke for around 30 minutes and he kept abusing the people of Delhi and the elected government of Delhi. I was listening to it, it felt bad. He made a promise in Delhi in 2020 that will make changes in law to help people in villages on land issue. They are still waiting for that to be fulfilled," he said.
"Modi-ji, why have you not notified Delhi Master Plan 2041 yet? Why has the Delhi Land Pooling Policy not been implemented yet? These people ask for votes only to abuse Kejriwal," he said.
He said those who accuse the AAP of keep fighting, today's inauguration is an example that shows that AAP only works for the people of Delhi.
"They sent our top leadership to jail but the atrocities that happened against us, we didn't make that an issue. Otherwise these projects would not have been inaugurated," he said, referring to the inauguration of a 13-kilometre stretch of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor and the Janakpuri West-Krishna Park Extension section of the Delhi Metro's Phase IV.
