Shivamogga-bound KSRTC bus collides with lorry

Shivamogga: Two people were seriously injured in a head-on collision between a KSRTC bus and a lorry on the BH Road at Mumbalu near Anandpur in Sagar taluka on Thursday. Many others sustained minor injuries.

The bus was travelling from Sagar to Shivamogga, when the lorry from the opposite route, Anandpur to Sagar, rammed into it.

The bus driver, Shivananda Nayak, and the conductor, Fakirappa, were seriously injured in the accident. The two were rushed to the Max Hospital in Shivamogga for treatment, while others injured in the accident were taken to Sagar hospital in a private school bus.

A case has been registered at Anandpur Police Station.
