The Modi government's expiry date is up, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Saturday. She was addressing the mega opposition rally of Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Kolkata.

"Modi government has passed its expiry date. It is an expired government. There are 22 to 23 parties which gave gathered here. Bengal has led the way. We promise we will work together in future, "said Banerjee.

She also said that collective leadership is important and there is no need to think about the Prime Ministerial candidate of the United Opposition.

"Everyone has to come together in the interest of the nation and field candidates where they are strong. Collective leadership is important here. No need to think about the Prime Ministerial candidate now. We will decide that together after the Lok Sabha elections," said Banerjee.
