TMC expels Bolpur MP for anti-party activities

On the day when Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP from Bishnupur constituency Saumitra Khan joined BJP, another TMC MP Anupam Hazra from Bolpur Assembly seat was expelled for anti-party activities.

" Hasra's comments on Facebook for last one year is against the discipline of our party. Hence after discussing the matter with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, we expelled him from the party" TMC secretary general and Education Minister Partha Chatterjee told journalists in Nadia district.

However, Hazra denied the allegations of anti-party activities and said that he was expelled on for his facebook posts. He also took a dig at TMC regarding the alleged involvement of some of its leaders in the Saradha and Narada scams.
