Wedding, Modi victory telecast live in Hubballi!

Realising that not many would come to their wedding on Thursday, a day on which the results for Lok Sabha was supposed to be announced, a couple in Hubballi who could not postpone their biggest day in life, decided to make it memorable by inviting relatives and friends with a footnote on their wedding card: ‘LED screen has been arranged to watch live election results’!

And since morning the men flocks, who had attended the wedding of Sangamesh Gourimath and Thanu at Chavan Gardens in Gokul Road, were glued to the two big led screens that were set up in the hall. However, the women, who attended the wedding participated in all the rituals and customs.

The live telecast of the results was disconnect only for 10 minutes to ensure that all the men participate in the main rituals of the wedding.

“The entire India was keenly waiting for the Lok Sabha results. We did not want our relatives, friends and well-wishers to miss on the excitement of elections, so we decided to install the LED screens. Along with the wedding, the poll results were also broadcasted at the venue,” said Sangamesh.

Both the families of bride and bride-groom are an adherent follower of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As BJP and Modi returned to power the wedding party celebrated and raised slogans in favour of BJP and ‘Bharatmatha Ki Jai’.
