Thrillers must keep you glued to your seats and hit you with surprises. ‘Munduvareda Adhyaya’ doesn’t pack a punch and the glue dries out because of its several subplots.
A doctor who was supposed to oversee a medical camp organised by an MLA goes missing and fingers point to a contractor, who gets killed. What is the mystery and is there a larger picture? ‘Munduvareda Adhyaya’ tries to unravel the crime with the help of ACP Bala (Adithya).
Some shots in the movie are impressive and so are the graphics. The cast is expansive, so is the question that ACP Bala is trying to answer. Only at the interval, the plot takes off. The film’s subplots could have been dealt with in a better manner. Post the break, it’s a one-line answer with action and the dots being connected.
The heavy background music at times is jarring and distracts you from the suspense. The story might have done well as a series. The complexity of the plot has forced the makers to cram it all into one box.
