His plea is scheduled to be heard today by Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora. His team is making an effort to stop the unauthorised use of Salman Khan, aiming to protect his personality rights.

In the plea, Salman has urged the court to issue directions restraining several named and unnamed (John Doe) defendants from exploiting his name, image, voice, likeness, dialogues, mannerisms and other attributes that form part of his persona. Several platforms have been using his identity without his consent, creating a risk of misleading consumers, sabotaging his brand value and causing irreparable harm to his commercial and personal rights.

Salman Khan joins the list of celebrities like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Jaya Bachchan, Karan Johar, Kumar Sanu and others who have approached the high court to secure their personality and publicity rights, with the court granting them interim relief.

The Court's stance has gone beyond conventional misuse, addressing the growing issue of AI-generated impersonations, deepfakes, and other forms of digital manipulation that can rapidly and widely damage an individual's image and reputation.
