One of the most talked about movies in the Telugu cinema industry is Vishnu Manchu's magnum opus, Kannappa. The project was making headlines even before cameras started rolling.
The project has been a treasure trove of surprises. After Prabhas and Mohanlal, the latest addition of the superstar has peaked the excitement throughout the industry.
On Monday morning, the makers unveiled the first look of Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, a powerful embodiment of divinity, strength and tranquillity. In the first look, Akshay Kumar is seen as Lord Shiva holding a trishul and playing damru.
Earlier, the makers announced that Akshay Kumar’s look from Kannappa will be out on January 20. “A Glimpse of Divinity. Witness the celestial aura of Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva in #Kannappa,” read the announcement. Alongside Akshay, Kajal Aggarwal will be seen playing Goddess Parvathi in the magnum opus.
Helmed by Mukesh Kumar Singh of the acclaimed Mahabharat series for Star Plus, the movie is produced by Vishnu Manchu and Mohan Babu under the banner 24 Frames Factory. The movie also stars Prabhas, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, Sarathkumar, Madhoo, Preity Mukundhan, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmanandam, and others in prominent roles. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide in April 2025.
