Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is at the Cannes Film Festival for the world premiere of his film Tanvi the Great, had a heartwarming fanboy moment when he met the legendary Robert De Niro.
The encounter was captured in various photos, including one where Anupam Kher is seen hugging De Niro and another happily posing for photos.

Anupam Kher is one of the Indian celebrities to attend the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year. Before the screening of his film, Kher graced the inaugural ceremony of the Bharat Pavilion at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by IFFI and NFDC festival director Shekhar Kapur and Anne-Louise Mesadieu, Paris Region elected official, Ambassador, and Special Delegate for Diplomatic Relations.
Kher also reflected on the journey of Indian cinema and his personal experiences of representing India globally. “I am eight years younger than my country and we both grew up together. We have really, really done well. This is my first time in Cannes, I’m so happy to be here at the 'Maha Kumbh of cinema',” said the star.
Anupam Kher, who is presenting his film Tanvi The Great at the Cannes Film Festival, took to his social media and gave a glimpse from his red-carpet debut. He looked crisp in a classic black three-piece tuxedo paired with a bow tie. His film Tanvi the Great is set to be screened on May 17.
