Anupam Kher’s directorial debut, Tanvi The Great, has not only made waves internationally but is also connecting strongly in India ahead of its July 18 release. The film was screened for the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at a special event held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 11.
The special premiere of the film was graced by Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Karan Tacker and debutant Shubhangi. Talking about this feat, Anupam Kher, maker of Tanvi The Great, said, "It was an ultimate moment of pride for us to have the President and the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces watch our film, and to witness her applauding it at the end was a dream come true. As a director, this kind of endorsement from the highest office in our country is my ultimate "kuch bhi ho sakta hai" moment for me. She truly epitomises our film’s tagline: "Different But No Less."
The film features an exceptional ensemble cast from Indian and international cinema, including Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Boman Irani, Pallavi Joshi, Karan Tacker, Nassar, with Anupam Kher and Iain Glen.
Produced by Anupam Kher Studios in association with NFDC, Tanvi The Great will be distributed globally by Excel Entertainment, led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and AA Films, led by Anil Thadani. The film releases in cinemas worldwide on 18th July 2025.
