'Spider-Man' actor Tobey Maguire has also been involved in this and was recently sued for allegedly taking more than USD 300,000 in winnings from bankrupt hedge fund manager Bradley Ruderman.
Meyer is the President of Universal Studios and his daughter Jennifer is married to Tobey Maguire.
Others involved in the circle are Leonard DiCaprio and Matt Damon.
