“
Bodyguard” is laced with hilarious elements but has the theme of genuine love as its soul. “How can you love a girl without ever seeing her?,” Ammu (Nayantara), asks Jayakrishnan (Dilleep), who develops unconditional love for his ‘anonymous caller’.
The storyline tends to answer this by adopting a less-trodden love angle. And the gist conveyed is: when love is from the heart, it has nothing to do with countenance.
Nayantara is back after a gap, looking fresh and elegant. Dileep is in his real elements and we find it easy to connect with his role. Some sequences of this almost three-hour movie may appear a bit quixotic, but overall, it turns out be a good family entertainer.
