The unsold VIP standing tickets were sold dirt cheap to fill up the Arena, as promoters feared that a sea of empty seats would present a poor image of the star who is trying to make a comeback with the tour, reported Sun online.
"The shows on the weekend still had a number of unsold tickets by the end of last week. It could send out a message that the star's run in London hasn't been a complete success. So on Thursday they contacted a website who specialise in getting rid of last-minute tickets," a source told the newspaper.
The price of the tickets for the much hyped show were slashed by a good 98 pounds, much to the chagrin of the organisers.
"They all went, but taking a 98 pound hit on each sale wasn't particularly pleasing for anyone concerned," added the source.
