On Wednesday evening, Diljit posted a clip-on on social media that shows him dressed as Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon, the only Indian Air Force officer to receive the Param Vir Chakra. In the clip, Diljit is seen fully geared up, filming alongside a large group of dancers, with the Border title track Ke Ghar Kab Aoge playing in the background.

The behind-the-scenes video is making waves on social media, with fans showing their support and praising Diljit for his strength and determination during this challenging time. Diljit has been on the receiving end of online hatred ever since the trailer of Sardaar Ji 3 was released and the involvement of Pakistani actor Hania Aamir came to light.

Earlier reports suggested that Ammy Virk was being considered as a replacement for Diljit's role, amid statements from FWICE and other cultural bodies accusing Diljit of showing "confused loyalties."

Meanwhile, FWICE President B N Tiwari, in an interview with India Today, clarified that the union has withdrawn the order following the request from the producer Bhushan Kumar.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh and is scheduled for a Republic Day weekend release on January 23, 2026.
