Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 5 trailer has finally been released, and it lives up to expectations with its non-stop comedy, keeping the excitement high for this laugh-packed entertainer. With this, the Housefull franchise has scripted history as India’s only film franchise to reach a fifth chapter, delivering 5X the madness, 5X the drama and 5X the fun.
The trailer takes the audience into the world of this biggest comedy franchise, setting the tone for what’s going to be a rollercoaster ride of madness and fun on the big screen. It also evokes nostalgia with the famous dialogues and characters that still feel remarkably fresh.
Building the franchise to its fifth instalment is not just about scale; it's about sustaining relevance. Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala shares, “I’ve been thinking about the story of Housefull 5 and having two different climaxes for the last 30 years. I’ve always wanted to make a thriller, and the idea finally came to me 3–4 years ago, right after I finished writing Housefull 4.”
“I wrote the story and screenplay myself, and it’s truly a dream come true. What makes this film unique is that different shows will have altogether different killers and climaxes. Imagine a 3 PM show having one ending, and the 6 PM show having another- this is happening across single screens and multiplexes. Housefull 5 is a true killer comedy,” added the Sikandar maker.
“Writing it gave me sleepless nights, but also a lot of joy. Once the script was ready, bringing Akshay and Tarun Mansukhani on board and others made the journey even more fruitful,” concluded Sajid.
With an ensemble of 19 stars, Housefull 5 is all set to be a star-studded comedy extravaganza. Headlined by Akshay Kumar and directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film features an epic cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt and more, making it the biggest and boldest chapter of the franchise yet.
As Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment celebrates 75 years of cinematic excellence, the studio gears up for a blockbuster year. Alongside Housefull 5, releases like Baaghi 4 and an untitled Shahid Kapoor–Triptii Dimri film are on the cards. Housefull 5, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, premieres globally on 6th June 2025.
