Husain, who made his Bollywood directorial debut with 'Gaja Gamini' starring Madhuri, was scripting a comedy with the actress in the lead, said her secretary Riku Rakeshnath.
"He had called me to say that he wanted to make a film again and we were supposed to meet in London or Dubai to discuss it further," Rakeshnath, who was a producer on 'Gaja Gamini', told PTI.

"He was writing the script of the film, which was to be a comedy with Madhuri in the lead," he added.

Rakeshnath recalled his experience of working with Husain on 'Gaja Gamini' over a decade back, saying, "He was full of energy and had a strong memory. He remembered each shot and dialogue."

Husain's love for Bollywood beauties was well-known and Madhuri impressed him so much that he watched her film 'Hum Apke Hain Kaun' 67 times. He also immortalised the actress in his paintings.

After 'Gaja Gamini', Husain went on to make 'Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities' with Tabu.
