Sanvi Sudeep, after her singing debut for dad Sudeep’s Mark, has delivered her second track, ‘Araginiye’, from Mango Pachcha, which was released last week.
The music for Mango Pachcha is composed by Charan Raj, best known for the recent chartbuster ‘Bangle bangaari’ from Ekka. ‘Araginiye’ features lead actors Sanchith Sanjeev and Kaajal Kunder in a romantic montage filmed across Mysuru.
Sanvi describes her experience of working with Charan Raj as “encouraging”. In ‘Araginiye’, which includes a few English lines, he entrusted that portion to her, asking her to write lyrics she felt were appropriate. He recorded two versions of the song, she says. One was as he envisioned it, and another in which she sang it in her own style, "to see which sounded better".
Sanvi, who earlier shared English covers on Instagram, was often asked by her followers to do Kannada covers. Now that she has delivered two original songs, she says she is happy with the response they have received. “I have been working on my singing and music for so long now that I’m stoked it’s finally out there,” she shares.
A self-taught musician, Sanvi looks up to Sunidhi Chauhan and Adele. While she intends to continue working on her music and release solo material, her primary focus remains on the film industry, where she aspires to work both in front of and behind the camera. “I have grown up in this industry, so I want to do a little bit of everything, including acting,” she adds.
