Jackson clothes fetch over USD 400,000 at auction

The fedora from the Michael Jackson collection sold for USD 72,000 and a glove which reached USD 330,000 through Julien's Auctions as part of their 'Icons and Idols' sale in Beverly Hills on Saturday, Contactmusic reported.

A jacket signed the 'Thriller' hitmaker, who died from acute Propofol intoxication aged 50 June last year, was sold for USD 96,000.

Over 100 items from Jackson's life and career including a custom-made costume for his friend and companion Bubbles, the chimp, went under the hammer.

Late Beatles legend John Lennon's gold-braided military jacket - made famous in an iconic 1966 Life magazine photo shoot - reached USD 240,000, exceeding its estimated word of USD 150,000 and USD 200,000.

An X-ray of Albert Einstein's brain went for USD 38,750, while a pair of screen legend Marilyn Monroe's empty prescription bottles, sold for USD 18,750.
