Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, a committee to control and administer a fixed group of temple in the Tirumala-Tirupati area, has undertaken a project as part of which seven Sanskrit songs would be recorded in the singer's voice.

"We have already recorded the tracks and sent them to Lataji. We would like to bring out the recordings as early as possible," TTD's Annamacharya Project Director Medasani Mohan said.

"A team of in-house musicians have composed the songs," Mohan said without divulging further details.

"Besides these seven songs, it is likely that she may record three more," he said.

The 16th century poet, who dedicated his life to Lord Venkataswara, has penned about 100 songs in Sanskrit and 14,000 songs in Telugu.

While 2,000 of his Telugu songs have been recorded so far, Sanskrit songs are yet to be recorded.
