What began as a simple birthday tribute has spiralled into a social media firestorm. Actress Mahhi Vij faced intense backlash from netizens who labelled her birthday message to Nadim Nadz—a key member of Salman Khan’s inner circle—as inappropriate and slanderous.
On Nadim Nadz’s birthday, Mahhi Vij posted a heartfelt note for him, praising him for being a "strong support" in her life. Sharing a series of photos, Mahhi penned a note expressing her gratitude for his "constant presence" in her life. She followed up with a post from her daughter’s account, saying that she affectionately calls him 'Abba'.
A social media storm erupted after many began speculating about her connection with Nadim, leading to widespread trolling. Mahhi has now broken her silence, shutting down the rumours and slamming the "false narratives" about her personal life.
Despite being advised to remain silent, Mahhi felt she could no longer ignore the situation and chose to speak out. Slamming down the trolls in a new social media post, Mahhi rubbished the rumours linking her to Nadim Nadz.
Mahhi said, “Jo log humare baare mein jaante hain, unhe yeh sab ridiculous lag raha hai. Just because humne bina koi controversy ke divorce liya hai, aap logon ko hazam nahi ho raha. Aapko gandagi chahiye (Those who know us are finding all these ridiculous. Just because we got divorced without any controversy, you people are unable to accept it. You want filthiness).”
She added, “Nadim mera best friend hai aur hamesha mera best friend hi rahega. Aapne ‘Abba’ shabd ko ganda kar diya hai. Shame on you… thu on you people for writing such sh**ty stuff about me and Nadim. It’s not just about me, itne saare log hain jo usse respect karte hain. Aap itne level tak gandagi mein jaa sakte ho (Nadim is my best friend and he will always be my best friend. You have made the word 'Abba' dirty. Shame on you people for writing such sh**ty stuff about me and Nadim. It's not just about me, there are so many people who respect him. You people can stoop to such low level).”
She further questioned if saying “I love you” to best friends is wrong and lashed out at her trolls.
Earlier, Ankita Lokhande stood up for Mahhi by calling out the aggressive trolling online. Mahhi’s husband, Jay Bhanushali, also shared the post, showing his support against the trolling.
