It took Shah Rukh Khan thirty-three years to earn his first National Award. SRK bagged his first ‘Best Actor’ award at the 71st National Film Awards for his massy performance in Jawan.
While his ardent fans and well-wishers kept the social media buzzing celebrating his win over the weekend, celebrities and politicians also joined the wave and showered their love for Bollywood’s ‘King Khan.’ Grateful for the love pouring in, SRK responded to the messages in true King Khan style—full of wit, warm and full of charm.
As ‘King Khan’ made waves on social media over the weekend for earning his first-ever National Award after nearly 33 years in the industry, it was his delightful responses to celebrity messages that truly stole the show. SRK’s quirky reply to Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, delivered in classic Tharoor fashion, has taken the internet by storm and netizens can’t get enough of this wordy exchange.
When Shashi Tharoor congratulated Shah Rukh Khan in unusually “simple” congratulatory message, SRK playfully replied in a Tharoor-style. He said, "Thank u for the simple praise Mr Tharoor… would not have understood something more magniloquent and sesquipedalian… ha ha (sic)." His reply is the new internet’s new obsession, with everyone hailing his masterclass in wit and wordplay.
Responding to Pushpa actor Allu Arjun's heartfelt note, SRK replied and wrote, "Thank u so much my man. So kind of you for the love and prayers. And when it comes to swag and ‘The Fire’ himself praises me wow it has made my day!!! Feeling Jawan twice all over now!!! I must admit I must have learnt something from you as I had seen Pushpa thrice in three days!!! Big hug to u and will come and give u one personally as soon as possible. Keep swagging!!! Love u (sic)."
In a heartfelt gesture, SRK replied to ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan’s message on X, saying, “Means a lot coming from you @ikamalhaasan sir. You have been a true inspiration… thank you for the years of cinema, art and vision… and the next ones to come! Love u always (sic).”
SRK humbly acknowledged Jawan maker Atlee’s post on X, replying,
“MAAASSS MAAASSS MAASSS…
Thank you for your vision.
Only you could do this… In the next song, we will do more steps. Love u… (sic)
He also thanked the superstar of Malayalam industry, Mohanlal, he wrote, “Thank you @Mohanlal sir… let’s take an evening off and meet up. Big hugs (sic).”
SRK also reacted to Retro star Suriya’s congratulatory message and said "Thank you @suriya_offl… hope all good, catch up soon. Sending you lots of love!! (sic)"
On Friday, the winners for the 71st National Film Awards were announced, honouring Shah Rukh with the 'Best Actor' award. SRK took to social media and shared his response to the achievement, thanking fans and everyone who has supported him throughout.
A visibly injured SRK wrote, "Thank you for honouring me with the National Award. Thanks to the jury, the I&B ministry... Iss samman ke liye Bharat Sarkar ka dhanyawaad. Overwhelmed with the love showered upon me. Half a hug to everyone today. (sic)"
