Authorities here lifted the ban on the movie two days after they stopped its screening, citing that the movie was released without removing "obscene words" as directed by the Film Censor Board.
According to a statement issued by the District Administration Office (DAO) in Kathmandu, the Board has received a clarification from the Triple Movies and Suppliers, the official distributor of the movie for Nepal, that they have made the necessary cuts as instructed by the Board.
The company said that it would be ready to face legal action if found guilty of screening it without removing the "objectionable parts" in the future.
On Sunday, the authorities had issued an order to this effect following complaints by the Board that the distributor defied its direction to remove some of the "obscene dialogues".
However, pirated DVDs of the movie is being sold in Kathmandu's market without removing the "obscene dialogues".
