Telugu actor Jr NTR will soon be collaborating with ace filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas for a commercial drama being referred to as NTR 30. The biggie has created a buzz among fans as the two had previously joined hands for the well-received actioner Aravinda Sametha. According to the latest reports, the makers are planning to rope in Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan to play the antagonist opposite Tarak in the biggie.

If things work out, this will be the second Tollywood movie of Chotte Nawab's career as he is currently working on the Hindi-Telugu bilingual Adipurush, starring Prabhas. Director Om Raut's magnum opus is touted to be an adaptation of the Ramayana and 'celebrates the victory of good over evil'. The Baahubali actor plays the role of Lord Ram in the biggie while Saif essays the antagonist 'Lankesh'. The cast includes Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh.

Saif garnered a fair deal of attention when he essayed a negative role in the 2006 release Omkara, starring Ajay Devgn. His character in the action-packed blockbuster Race too had negative shades.

His body of work suggests that he may be the right choice for NTR 30.

The film will go on the floors only after Jr NTR wraps up the shoot of Rise Roar Revolt (RRR), his film with ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The movie is touted to be a period drama and revolves around the fictional adventures of two real freedom fighters Alluri Sita Ramaraju, played by Ram Charan, and Bheem. The cast includes Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Olivia Morris and Samuthirakani. It is touted to be bigger than the Baahubali saga and may touch upon the concept of reincarnation. RRR is slated to release in theatres on October 13.

Saif, on the other hand, was gearing up to begin the promotions of Bunty Aur Babli 2 but the film got pushed back due to the recent increase in Covid-19 cases in India.
