Producers Sanjay Suri and Onir felt that this move will make the film accessible to the entire non-Hindi speaking audience within the country and overseas.
"India being a global destination for business and tourism, we feel there is a large audience who want to watch Indian films... but they don't because our films are not subtitled," they said.
The movie is a tale comprising four stories, woven together that takes audiences through issues and dilemmas that bruise the modern Indian society. The film unfolds many a tale of individuals struggling to find their identity, and uphold their dignity in a world that is callous, cold and unsympathetic.
The film starring Nandita Das, Purab Kohli, Juhi Chawla, Manisha Koirala, Sanjay Suri and Rahul Bose among others will open at the London Asian Film Festival on March 18.
It also marks the full-fledged acting debut of filmmaker Anurag Basu.
