Pakistan actor Fawad Khan has fueled controversy with his condolence message to those killed in Operation Sindoor. Calling the attack shameful, the Kapoor & Sons star offered condolences to those reportedly killed in India's airstrikes. He also condemned India’s Operation Sindoor.

Sharing his views strongly on social media, Fawad took to his Instagram Story and wrote “My deepest condolences to the families of those injured and killed in this shameful attack. I pray for the souls of the deceased and strength for their loved ones in the days to come. A respectful request to all: stop stoking the flames with rabble-rousing words. It is not worth the lives of innocent people. May better sense prevail. InshaAllah. Pakistan Zindabad. (sic)"

Fawad’s message has not only angered Pakistani netizens but also irked Indians. Pakistani users are upset over not mentioning India, due to his association with the Indian film industry, while Indian netizens are criticizing his stance on Operation Sindoor.

In the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan artists' social media accounts have been blocked in India. However, a screenshot of the post is now circulating widely online.

His remark on Operation Sindoor has added more fuel to the fire of the ongoing debate over his upcoming movie’s release Abir Gulaal. The film was initially set to release in theatres on May 9 but was postponed after facing strong backlash in the wake of Pahalgam terror attack.
