Rajinikanth ruled Kollywood single-handedly for over a decade, but in recent years, the dynamics have shifted, with reports suggesting that ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay has emerged as the bigger star in the Kollywood industry.
The race to be the numero uno in the industry often results in fan war with Thalapathy Vijay and Superstar Rajinikanth fans flooding social media. At times things turn dirty as fans go overboard without worrying about its consequences.
A similar digital clash broke out between Rajinikanth and Vijay fans on social media. This fan war had both sides exchanging heated comments and criticisms. It all started after a clip from the X Spaces conversation went viral, where Rajinikanth’s fans made disrespectful comments towards Vijay. Social media was abuzz with these remarks, leading to a digital war between Rajinikanth and Vijay's fans.
Realizing the consequence, Superstar Rajinikanth’s team promptly took action and issued a formal statement on behalf of him. The statement read, “These remarks are entirely unacceptable and go against the principles upheld by true Rajinikanth fans. The repeated sharing of such harmful content only fosters division and animosity. Media and social networks should take responsibility and refrain from perpetuating such incidents.”
This isn’t the first time the buzz around an alleged rivalry between Thalapathy Vijay and Rajinikanth has made headlines. There have been several instances where fans from both sides have tried to bring the other star down with negative comments and hatred.
On the professional front, Rajinikanth is busy shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie, while Thalapathy Vijay is busy filming his ‘last’ film Jana Nayagan.
