Actor Ram Kapoor has found himself in trouble after his comments during the promotions of his upcoming web series, Mistry, didn't go down well with many. During a media interaction for the promotions, Ram Kapoor was seen making ill remarks with Jio Hotstar executives and co-actor Mona Singh on stage.

According to a report by Mid-Day, his comments were inappropriate and unprofessional. While undergoing back-to-back interviews, Ram allegedly described the work pressure as feeling like being “gang-raped,” a comment he made while one journalist was setting up the mic.

That same evening, Ram Kapoor also made off-colour remarks about the outfits and families of the JioHotstar and the public relations team members.

One executive recalled and said, “He looked at my colleague’s dress and commented on its length, saying, The clothes are distracting."

Another staff member shared with the publication, “The impact didn’t hit us right away, but later that evening, we started counting the offensive things he said. Ram told one male colleague that his mother should have pretended to have a headache so he wouldn’t exist, and he made remarks about sex positions.”

After these incidents, senior executives at the OTT platform held a brief meeting with the HR team and decided to expel Ram Kapoor from the promotion of the upcoming web series.

Mistry, the web show, is a mystery dramedy that stars Ram Kapoor, Mona Singh, Shikha Talsania, Abhiijeit Chitre, Kshitish Date and others in key roles and is all set to release on June 27, 2025, on Jio Hotstar.
