Guide was far ahead of its time, an ultra liberal redemptive take on a taboo subject. The story revolves around a tourist guide in Udaipur, played by the ever-charismatic Dev Anand. His life takes a transformative turn when he meets and falls in love with Rosie, a spirited young woman stuck in an oppressive marriage with Marco, an elderly archaeologist. Waheeda Rehman shines as the youthful, optimistic Rosie, while Kishore Sahu portrays her distant husband, Marco.

Hum Dono

Set during WWII in Burma, the film depicts the toll of war on soldiers and civilians. After Major Verma heroically defends his troops against the Japanese, he’s presumed dead. Directed by Amarjeet, the movie also stars Nanda and Sadhana and is produced by Navketan Films.
