In a touching gesture, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan met Bhajan Singh Rana, the auto rickshaw driver who took him to the hospital in his vehicle on Tuesday. On the day of he was to be discharged, Rana was called to the hospital and had a brief meeting with the 54-year-old actor.
The meeting lasted for a few minutes where Saif thanked the auto driver for his prompt help and also posed for photos. Pictures of Saif with Bhajan Singh Rana sharing pleasantries at the hospital are going viral on social media.

The 54-year-old actor was stabbed by an intruder in the early hours of Thursday last week in his 12th-floor flat in 'Satguru Sharan' building in upscale in Bandra. He was then rushed to the Lilavati Hospital in the wee hours and underwent a neurosurgery to treat a spinal injury and a plastic surgery to repair wounds on his neck and hands.
After five days of hospitaliation, Saif was relieved. Saif is recuperating from the surgery and is advised rest for a minimum of two weeks.

Rana said that he wished Saif Ali Khan a speedy recovery.
"They gave a time of 3:30 PM, I said okay, and I will reach. I was a little late, about 4-5 minutes, and then we met. As we were moving around inside, his family was there too," he said
"They were all worried, but everything went well. His mother (Sharmila Tagore) and children were there, and I was treated with respect.. I was asked to come for which felt really good. There was nothing special, it was just a normal meeting. I told him, 'Just get well soon, I had prayed for you earlier, and I will continue to pray...'," he said.
Meanwhile, Bhajan Singh Rana, the auto-rickshaw driver, who took the actor to hospital has been rewarded Rs 11,000 from an institution for his noble work. Sources suggest he will be ‘suitably’ rewarded by Saif Ali Khan’s side as well.
Police on Sunday arrested Bangladeshi national Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir (30) from neighbouring Thane city for the attack on the actor and a court remanded the accused in five-day police custody.
