The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has come down heavily on Dosanjh.

The 41-year-old actor is being trolled on social media platforms.

The development comes just two months after the April 22, 2025 terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir after which AICWA and FWICE called for zero links with the Pakistani artistes community. Subsequently, on May 7, 2025, the Indian government and armed forces launched Operation Sindoor and hit terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.

“Despite knowing the recent brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam in which 26 innocent Indian lives were lost at the hands of Pakistani-sponsored terrorists, Diljit Dosanjh has shockingly chosen to cast a Pakistani artist. This decision comes at a time when the entire nation—140 crore Indians, the government, the opposition, and citizens across all walks of life—are united against Pakistan and standing in solidarity with the families of the martyred,” AICWA president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta said.

“Diljit Dosanjh, through his actions, has disrespected the sentiments of the nation and insulted the sacrifice of our brave soldiers and civilians. His preference for Pakistani talent over Indian artists raises serious questions about his loyalty and priorities,” he said and announced a complete boycott of the actor from the Indian film industry.

“We urge all Indian producers, production houses, music companies, event organizers, and film workers to stand united and not associate with Diljit Dosanjh in any professional capacity. We will approach various industry unions, workers’ bodies, and stakeholders to uphold this patriotic call. If the film industry and the people of India do not take a stand now, it will send the wrong message globally. National interest must come before personal profit or popularity,” he said.

FWICE president BN Tiwari also slammed Daljit Dosanjh.

“By working with a Pakistani actor, Diljit has hurt Indian sentiments. He has disrespected the sentiments of the nation and insulted the sacrifice of our brave soldiers. His preference for Pakistani talent over Indian artists raises serious questions about his loyalty and priorities,” Tiwari was quoted saying.
