Bengaluru: Shiva Rajkumar will reprise the role of a teacher in A for Anand directed by M G Srinivas also known as Srini.
The production launch of A for Anand was held on Friday and it is being produced by Geetha Shivarajkumar under Geetha Pictures banner.
The actor who was seen mostly in action films will now appear in a children's film.
"The movie is about the education system and the basic etiquette that people must know and learn. Basic life skills are hardly taught at home and in schools. Swimming for example is not a part of any school curriculum but it is a very important life skill,” director Srini tells DH.
“Even Shivarama Karanth believed in integrating art, culture and real life experiences in the formal learning process,” he says, also adding that the film is aimed at being an entertainer.The film's title is taken from the actor's debut film 'Anand'. Vasuki Vaibhav will compose the film's music. The film will be shot in Shivamogga, Sagara and surrounding locations. Shooting will begin in October once the monsoon concludes.
Previously, Shivarajkumar had collaborated with Srini for the action-packed drama Ghost (2023).
