Tollywood actor Chiranjeevi will soon be teaming up with popular filmmaker Bobby for a mass movie, which has created a great deal of buzz among fans for the right reasons. According to several reports, Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha may be roped in to play the leading lady opposite the 'megastar' in the biggie. An official announcement about the same is likely to be made in the coming days.

There were talks of the star being roped in opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna in his film with Boyapati Srinu but 'Sona' dismissed the rumours much to the disappointment of her fans. It remains to be seen whether things work out this time around.

The film will go on the floors only after Chiranjeevi wraps up his pending project. The 'mass hero' is shooting for Acharya, which marks his first collaboration with filmmaker Koratala Siva. The movie features 'Annayya' in a new avatar and has a commercial storyline with religious undertones. It stars Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady and reunites her with her Khaidi No 150 co-star. 'Mega power star' Ram Charan and actor Sonu Sood too are a part of the cast. It is expected to hit the screens in May.

Chiru also has the remakes of the Malayalam film Lucifer and the Kollywood blockbuster Vedalam in his kitty. He has also expressed a desire to star in the Tollywood version of Yennai Arindhaal

Sonakshi, on the other hand, is going through a busy phase on the work front and was last seen in Dabangg 3, which made a decent impact at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews. She is awaiting the release of the Ajay Devgn-starrer Bhuj, slated to release on a streaming platform. She is also to make her OTT debut with a web series tentatively titled Fallen. It features her in the role of a cop and is slated to release later this year.
