Actor Suriya recently revealed that he had tested positive for Covid-19 and had requested people to stay safe as things have not 'returned to normal' yet. However, the actor is now back home.
The Singam star's brother actor Karthi on Thursday took to Twitter to share an update about his anna's health. He said that Suriya is back home and will be under quarantine for a few days as a precautionary measure. He thanked fans for their support and wishes.
Karthi's comments come at a time when he is going through at eventful phase on the work front. The Siruthai star was last seen in the Jeethu Joseph-directed Thambi that clicked well with the target audience. The thriller revolved around the journey of a thief with a past. It had an impressive cast that included Jyothika, Sathyaraj and Nikhila Vimal.
Karthi will next be seen in the eagerly-awaited movie Sulthan, which features him in a new avatar. It stars 'Karnataka Crush' Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady and will mark her Kollywood debut. It will be releasing in theatres in April.
He will also be seen in Mani Ratnam-helmed Ponniyin Selvan. The biggie is based on a popular novel of the same name and has a star-studded cast that includes Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Kishore and Amitabh Bachchan. The magnum opus is likely to release next year.
Suriya, on the other hand, was last seen in the critically-acclaimed movie Soorarai Pottru. The film, which was inspired by the life of Air Deccan founder Captain G R Gopinath, released on an OTT platform as opposed to a theatrical release. He will soon be collaborating with Visaranai-helmer Vetrimaaran for a movie titled Vaadivasal. He will also be seen in the Tamil version of Madhavan's upcoming movie Rocketry. One is likely to receive clarity on the release dates of these movies in the coming days.
