Veteran Tamil and Kannada film director C V Rajendran passed away due to age-related issues in Chennai on Sunday. He was aged 81.
Rajendran had worked with several top notch actors, including Sivaji Ganeshan, Rajanikanth, Jayalalithaa and Kamal Hassan. He had directed the Sivaji Ganeshan and Jayalalithaa-starrer Gallatta Kalyanam, Sumathi en Sundari and Raja.
Rajendran best known for Kannada movie goers for Rajkumar-starrer Trimurthi, has directed several movies produced by Dwarakish such as Kittu Puttu, Singapuradalli Raja Kulla. Some of the other noteworthy Kannada movies directed by Rajendran are Galate Sansar, Preeti Maadu Tamashe Nodu, Aliya Devaru, Prema Matsara.
Rajendran is survived by his wife Janaki Rajendran, a son and a daughter.
The mortal remains of Rajendran will be laid to rest after his son's arrival from the United States.
